How does it work?

We will start with an initial assessment where we will discuss your current habits and nutritional concerns and come up with a custom plan to address your needs. In our follow-up sessions we will focus on incorporating intuitive and mindful eating practices into your daily life, as well as your family’s, and set specific goals to help keep your progress going. We will discuss meal planning, family eating habits,  grocery shopping, or any other number of struggles you may be experiencing. I will be available between sessions via email to answer any questions you have, and we will have set appointments for the duration of your package to help ensure you are staying on track and address any issues you may encounter along the way. Changing your eating practices will take time and effort, but in the end it WILL be worth it.

Why work with a Registered Dietitian?

Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, but in order to be a Registered Dietitian you must satisfy many requirements. These include extensive education in nutrition at an accredited university, a supervised practice period of more than 1200 hours, and a registration exam with ongoing continuing education requirements. Registered Dietitians really are the experts in nutrition!

It seems that everywhere you turn there is a new fad diet, or someone telling you “if you do or take this, you will lose as much weight as you want.” There are many weight loss programs out there, but you, your body, and your family aren’t the same as anyone else. A dietitian can help you tailor nutrition programs to your needs no matter what your goals, and can help you separate fact from fiction when it comes to nutrition advice.
